Team Structure

In order to make best use of our larger team resources, we are planning on having 5 Subteams:

Marketing & Administration - responsible for getting sponsors, writing press releases, developing video and master Engineering Notebook, gimmies, etc.

Design/CAD & Drivetrain - responsible for researching basic robot drivetrain concepts, then developing them into concepts that can be manufactured; later in the season, responsible for producing CAD models in order to CNC and/or 3-D print drivetrain parts

Manufacturing/Build - responsible for shop organization, [possibly field build], prototyping basic robot concepts, then producing the final concepts

Accessory - responsible for researching basic robot accessory concepts, then developing them into concepts that can be manufactured; later in the season, responsible for producing CAD models in order to CNC and/or 3-D print accessory parts

Programming & Sensors - responsible for researching and prototyping sensor applications, and autonomous and teleop programs; also interfaces with the robot operators to optimize the user interface

Although students originally selected the Subteam that they wanted as their #1 through #4 choice, all students are expected to contribute to team goals by performing tasks where their talents lie and the team’s needs are greatest.
